This is a small, static personal site. It collects almost nothing. This page tells you what little it touches, why, and the rights you have over it.
Who runs this site
nerovny.com is run by Yan Nerovny, an individual based in Yerevan, Armenia. There is no company behind it and no separate legal entity.
Yan Nerovny is the data controller for the small amount of data described here. This is a one-person operation, so there is no Data Protection Officer. For anything about your data, write to yan@nerovny.com.
What this site collects
Not much. This is a static site. There are no forms, no newsletter, no account to create, and nothing to log in to.
If you email me, I get your email address and whatever you choose to write. If you book a call, that runs through Calendly, not through this site - see below.
The site uses a privacy-friendly analytics tool to count page visits and measure how fast pages load. It is cookieless and aggregate - it does not build a profile of you, set advertising cookies, or follow you across other sites.
Server logs
The site runs on a third-party hosting provider. To serve and protect it, that provider processes standard server logs, which include your IP address, under its own terms. I do not keep a separate copy of these logs.
My mailbox at yan@nerovny.com runs on a third-party email provider. When you email me, your message and your address pass through and sit with that provider so I can read and reply, under its own privacy policy.
I read these emails myself. I do not sell them, share them, or feed them to anyone for marketing.
Booking a call
The only booking button on this site, on the consulting page, sends you to Calendly. If you schedule a call there, Calendly collects what you enter on its page - typically your name, email, timezone and the slot you pick - plus anything else its form asks for, and it processes that under its own privacy policy. Calendly decides what it collects on its pages, not me. Use the link only if you want to book.
Why I use any of this
To run a personal site and answer people who write to me. The analytics tell me which writing gets read and whether pages load fast enough. That is the whole purpose.
The legal basis is legitimate interest - running this site and replying to my own email. There is no selling of data, no advertising, no profiling, and no automated decisions made about you.
Where the data goes
I do not sell your data. The only parties that touch it are the providers that keep the site and my email running: my hosting and analytics provider, my email provider, and Calendly (only if you book a call). Each acts under its own terms and only for the purpose above.
If you reach me through a social profile linked in the footer (LinkedIn, Telegram, Instagram) instead of email, that conversation lives on that platform under its own privacy terms, not here.
These providers are based outside the EU, mainly in the United States, so using them can mean your data is processed there. They rely on their own safeguards for that, including the Standard Contractual Clauses where those apply.
How long it is kept
Analytics are aggregate and hold nothing that identifies you. Email I keep as long as it is useful to have our exchange on record, and I clear out what I no longer need. If you want our email correspondence deleted, ask me and I will.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask me to show you the data I hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it, and you can object to how I use it. For most people that means the email you have sent me - email yan@nerovny.com and I will handle it.
If you think I have mishandled your data, you can complain to the data-protection authority where you live or work. None of this affects the mandatory rights you have under the law of your own country.
Cookies
No tracking or advertising cookies. The analytics are cookieless. The English and Russian versions are just separate pages - the site does not store a language preference or set any cookie for it. There is nothing to track you with, so there is no cookie banner to click through.
